Though the summer transfer window is still a few months away, that hasn’t stopped the rumours of players potentially being on the move.

JULIAN DRAXLER

Liverpool are hoping to sign the German winger this summer, according to The Mirror.

The Paris Saint-Germain attacker has established himself at the Parc des Princes this season having initially struggled to adapt to life in the French capital when he arrived back in January 2016.

The 24-year-old, who is contracted to the Parisian side until 2021, is apparently happy to stay at PSG but may find a move to the Merseysiders difficult to turn down as Jurgen Klopp looks likely to up his interest after the conclusion of the World Cup.

While the Kop giants are blessed with attacking quality, they apparently see Draxler as a like-for-like replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who departed for Barcelona.

Draxler could be available for a fee in the region of £50m (Dh256m).

FRED

Manchester United have moved ahead of Manchester City in the race to land the Shakhtar Donetsk star this summer, the Daily Star reports.

Both Manchester clubs have shown plenty of interest in the 25-year-old, but Jose Mourinho’s men are reportedly at the front of the queue to land the Brazilian in the close season.

The Red Devils are keen to bolster their midfield ranks with Michael Carrick set to retire at the end of the campaign and there being doubts over the long-term future of record buy Paul Pogba.

Fred has been at the heart of the Ukrainian side’s midfield term this season, making 28 appearances and scoring three goals in all competitions.

Fred in action against City in the Champions League earlier this season.

 

LEONARDO BONUCCI

Real Madrid are considering a summer swoop for the AC Milan centre-back.

According to CalcioMercato, the 30-year-old Italian is one man on Los Blancos’ extensive transfer wishlist as Zinedine Zidane looks to strengthen the Whites once this campaign is out.

Bonucci, who moved to the San Siro at the start of last season following a seven-year stay at Juventus, has impressed for the Rossoneri and is widely considered one of the most reliable defenders in Serie A.

With rumours Raphael Varane could exit the Bernabeu, Bonucci would be a ready-made replacement to partner club captain Sergio Ramos.
