Though the winter transfer window has passed and the summer window is still more than three months down the road, that hasn’t stopped the chatter of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer rumours on players that could be heading elsewhere when the market reopens in June.

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI

His move to Real Madrid looks to be edging even closer with Los Blancos reaching an “agreement in principle” for the Bayern Munich striker.

According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, the Polish’s agent Pini Zavahi has held multiple meetings with Madrid president Florentino Perez and his right-hand man Jose Angel Sanchez to try and trigger a deal.

With Karim Benzema failing to live up to his expectations this season, the Spanish giants have been on the look out for a new striker to fire them to silverware after a disappointing La Liga campaign and Lewandowski fills that bill.

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar and Tottenham’s talisman Harry Kane are on the club’s radar but with neither club wanting to do business, Madrid have turned their focus to landing Lewandowski, who has scored 36 goals in all competitions.

Should the 29-year-old agree to a move, he is prepared to sign a two-year deal with an option for the third.

MALCOLM

According to Bild, Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on the Brazilian winger with head coach Jurgen Heynckes confirming the club are scouting the Brazilian ace. However he denies they are interested in the Bordeaux winger.

Malcolm, 21, has risen to become one of the hottest young stars in Ligue 1, scoring eight goals and providing six assists in 29 appearances.

His form has led for Arsenal and Tottenham to both show interest but that’s not the case for Heynckes.

“I also don’t think that there is interest in him. They’re always putting him in the shop window but nobody bites,” said the 72-year-old.

ANDRE SILVA

It’s only a matter of time before Wolverhampton Wanderers win promotion to the Premier League and the Championship leaders are already planning for the new season in the English top-flight.

According to The Mirror, the club wants to make a statement of intent by strengthening their strike force with the acquisition of AC Milan forward Andre Silva.

The 22-year-old only moved to the San Siro last summer in a £34million deal (Dh174m), scoring once in 17 appearances. However, Wolverhampton want to reunite manager Nuno Espirito Santos with the Portuguese hotshot after they worked together effectively at FC Porto.

The English side will face stern competition to bring Silva to the Molineux with Arsenal, Monaco and Valencia also showing interest in the Porto graduate.

EMRE CAN

The German international could be making a shock move to Real Madrid with the reigning Champions League winners identifying the Liverpool midfielder as the perfect replacement for Luka Modric.

Can is out of contract this summer and had been strongly linked with Juventus.

But El Gol Digital says Madrid are ready to step in and hijack any deal to bring him to the Spanish capital. Modric has become an integral part of Real and his performances has been drawing a lot interest from a host of Premier League sides.

JAN OBLAK

Arsenal and Liverpool are both monitoring the progress of Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak. According to AS, Jurgen Klopp’s side have already shown interest in the 25-year-old but now face a battle from their Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Both clubs are looking for a goalkeeper with Klopp losing faith in both Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet while Petr Cech’s form is declining at the Emirates.

If Madrid are to do business, both sides will have to splash €100million (Dh451m) to activate his release clause.
