Nabil Fekir attracting interest from Arsenal headlines our transfer rumour mill

Though the winter transfer window just passed and the summer window is still months down the road, that hasn’t stopped the chatter of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at five potential transfer candidates that could be heading elsewhere when the market reopens in June.

Nabil Fekir

The Frenchman has caught the eye of compatriot Arsene Wenger as he’s set to be a priority for Arsenal this summer, according to Daily Mail. The Lyon attacker, who is expected to be a key player in France’s World Cup side in June, has scored 16 goals and dished out five assists in Ligue 1 this season. Wenger is willing to shell out £45 million for his top target, with the hopes of completing a deal for the 24-year-old before the World Cup gets under way.

Timo Werner

Werner is already a hot target for several English clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea, but Arsenal are now tossing their hat in the ring for the 21-year-old striker, according to The Sun. The chances of Werner leaving Germany increased after he rejected a new deal with RB Leipzig and the top European prospect should be spoilt for choice, having scored 16 goals form 29 appearances this season. Pairing him with Mesut Ozil at the Emirates would be tantalising for Arsene Wenger.

Victor Wanyama

Wanyama’s role at Tottenham has been reduced to primarily coming off the bench as a substitute after his return from a knee injury, but the midfielder is on the radar of Liverpool, who are keeping tabs on the 26-year-old, according to Daily Mail. While Mauricio Pochettino has used Wanyama sparingly, the idea of the Kenyan reinforcing the Reds’ midfield, especially if Emre Can leaves Anfield this summer when his contract expires, could appeal to Jurgen Klopp.

Jean Michael Seri

Manchester United haven’t been shy in splashing the cash and the Nice midfielder could be the next man to force their wallet open, according to Daily Mail. The 26-year-old’s release clause is considered to be around £33 million, but the price could be well worth it for Jose Mourinho to replenish his midfield this summer, especially with Michael Carrick set to retire. Seri also attracted the attention of Barcelona last year, but United appear to be keen as they’re monitoring ongoing developments.

Felipe Anderson

Chelsea are expected to make a move for the Lazio man this summer, with the 24-year-old Brazilian fitting the Blues’ need for a creative midfielder, according to talkSPORT. This isn’t the first time Anderson has been linked with an English club after performing well in Serie A over the last few seasons, with Manchester United often mentioned. It appears Chelsea, however, have had their interests piqued and are preparing to swoop in to bolster their playmaking. After struggling to defend their title this season, Chelsea aren’t likely to stand pat.
