Liverpool star Emre Can has agreed a deal in principle to join Juventus at the end of the season, according to a football agent in the know.

The 24-year-old, whose contract expires in June, was widely linked with the Turin club during the January transfer window but the two sides failed to reach a conclusion over a potential move.

However, it seems as though the German will now end his four-year stay at Anfield and link-up with the Serie A giants on a free transfer after the World Cup.

“Emre Can is a huge coup, even more so because he’ll arrive on a free transfer. Marotta and Paratici have done very well,” Federico Pastorello is reported as saying by the Liverpool Echo.

He added: “Juventus are a club that attract champions, and important signals are coming from the German.”
