Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is trying to force a move to European champions Real Madrid, according to Don Balon.

Los Blancos have been on the lookout for a goalkeeper since last summer and were heavily linked with rising Athletic Bilbao star Kepa Arrizabalaga during the January transfer window.

De Gea, on the other hand, is apparently eager to return home to Madrid where he of course previously plied his trade with Atletico.

Reportedly, the 27-year-old has told his agent he is open to holding talks with the Bernabeu club.

Rated as the arguably best goalkeeper in the Premier League, De Gea has been a lynchpin for the Red Devils over the past few seasons.
