The transfer window may not open again until January 1 2018 but that hasn’t put an end to plenty of speculation throughout Europe.

EMRE CAN

Juventus are ready to make a move for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, as the Serie A giants line up a £4.5m-a-year deal for the German.

Can’s contract is set to expire next summer, and with negotiations over a new deal having stalled last month, he is free to negotiate a deal to move abroad in 2018.

The midfielder is reportedly top of Massimiliano Allegri’s wishlist, with the Italian looking to bolster the central area of his side.

RATING: 8/10

VERDICT

It’s no secret that Juventus are on the look out for a defensive midfielder and after missing out on Nemanja Matic who eventually joined Manchester United, Can is a worthy alternative.

The Liverpool midfielder was a regular feature in Jurgen Klopp’s first team towards the back end of last season but when Jordan Henderson is fit, the German struggles to book a starting berth.

With only a year left on his contract, Can is yet to sign an extension and may be weighing up his options.

It would be hard for him to turn down an offer from Juventus, where he would more or less be guaranteed trophies.

STEFAN DE VRIJ

Liverpool are set to miss out on Lazio star Stefan de Vrij as the defender wants to stay in Serie A, according to the Mirror .

The Reds reportedly have monitored the Dutch centre-back as an alternative to Virgil van Dijk, but they’re poised to miss out as Inter Milan prepare a £25 million bid for the ace defender.

RATING: 8/10

VERDICT

The powerful centre-back would be a welcome addition to the Juve squad and his presence in defence offers something completely different to what Maxi Allegri’s side have at the moment.

Stefan de Vrij.
