The transfer window may not open again until January 1 2018 but that hasn’t put an end to plenty of speculation throughout Europe.

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI

Real Madrid are plotting a summer move for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, according to AS .

The Polish striker has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu in recent months, after expressing his disappointment at Bayern’s transfer policy.

RATING: 7/10

SPORT360 VERDICT

While the star man’s Bayern contact lasts until 2021, it is unlikely he will see through that deal and instead try to force a move away at least by the end of the season.

There has been no official bid from Real Madrid for his services, but that could well change now that they are aware of Lewandowski’s plans.

Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has stated the club knows about the player’s current thought process and is prepared to lose the hitman.

DONNY VAN DE BEEK AND JUSTIN KLUIVERT

Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the progress of Ajax duo Justin Kluivert and Donny van de Beek, according to Sky Sports .

Winger Kluivert is the son of legend Patrick Kluivert, while 20-year-old van de Beek is one of Holland’s most promising young midfielders.

Having had success recruiting from Ajax in recent years, Spurs are sticking with the same format, having already signed Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen and Davinson Sanchez from the Dutch capital.

RATING: 6/10

SPORT360 VERDICT

Both players are clearly talented, but van de Beek looks further down the line in terms of his development as a player so a move abroad could happen sooner for the young Dutchman.

For Kluivert, staying at Ajax would suit his development better, and the big money offers from the Premier League are surely going to draw his interest and ambitions away from Amsterdam – in time.

ALEX GRIMALDO

Jose Mourinho is planning a fresh bid to sign Benfica defender Alex Grimaldo, according to Metro .

The left-back is highly-rated in Portugal and Mourinho, who is set to offload Luke Shaw, has now given the green light to the club to pursue a deal.

RATING: 6/10

SPORT360 VERDICT

Mourinho has struggled to settle on a regular left back since arriving at the club in 2016 and is keen to bolster his options in this position with Luke Shaw still curtailed with injuries.

The Portuguese is a good option for the Reds Devils after a series of impressive displays for Benfica.
