TIMO WERNER

Barcelona have stepped up their interest in signing Red Bull Leipzig star Timo Werner, according to  Mundo Deportivo .

Bayern Munich have also shown an interest in the Germany international, after the 21-year-old attacker netted 21 goals in 31 league games last season to help Leipzig finish second in the Bundesliga.

RATING: 6/10

SPOT360 VERDICT

Expect Werner’s name to be linked with numerous clubs in January because he will be one of the hottest properties around.

He’s just broken into Germany’s senior squad and provides them with something they’ve not had in a long time – pace.

Although Barcelona recently signed Paulinho in attack, the German would represent an ideal long term option for Ernesto Valverde’s side.

CHRISTIAN PULISIC

Arsenal have entered the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic, according to the Sun .

The 19-year-old has attracted attention from Real Madrid, Liverpool and Tottenham after setting the Bundesliga alight with a series of impressive displays over the past 18 months.

And the Gunners are now believed to be battling with their Premier League rivals in a bid to sign Pulisic, although the player himself has insisted he will stay at Dortmund.

RATING: 5/10

SPORT360 VERDICT

Arsenal have longed been linked with a move for the 19-year-old and boss Arsene Wenger is a known admirer.

Although the Gunners may struggle against the magnetism of Real Madrid, a guarantee of first-team action may lure the USA star to North London.

DAVID SILVA

Manchester City midfielder David Silva is open to signing for AC Milan, according to the Sun.

With two years to run on his current contract, Pep Guardiola is hopeful of tieing down the Spanish international beyond 2019.

The 31-year-old playmaker has been linked to a host of clubs over the past number of seasons but has always remained loyal to the Sky Blues.

But Silva’s head could be turned by the mega offer from the big spending Italian club who are looking to usurp Juventus as the league’s top team.

RATING: 7/10

SPORT360 VERDICT

Although Silva seems happy in Manchester, he is reportedly open to a fresh challenge after nearly eight seasons at the Etihad Stadium.

At 31, an improved offer may be difficult to turn down, especially with Silva edging towards the final years of his career and the chance to spearhead the attack of a strong line-up at the San Siro.
