JULIAN DRAXLER

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane wants to sign PSG playmaker Julian Draxler, according to the Daily Star.

The German wide-man only moved to the French capital in a deal worth £40million from Schalke in January, but is now surplus to requirements after Neymar’s arrival to the club.

The 24-year-old, who is still regarded as one of the premier young talents in world football, has no shortage of offers with Monaco, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Liverpool said to be interested in securing his services.

RATING: 7/10

SPORT360 VERDICT

Real Madrid are crying out for midfield options following the departures of Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez during the summer, and Draxler more than fits the Madrid mould.

Despite only being in Paris for eight months, Draxler has shown signs of rediscovering his top form after hitting a bit of a lull in his final season in the Bundesliga.

Real Madrid have both the financial clout and the attraction of competing for major trophies so this is a deal they could seal in January.

SERGI ROBERTO

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is ready to launch a bid to sign Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto in the January transfer window, claims the Sun.

Roberto has a €40 million release clause in his contract and wants a new deal to reflect his starring role in the Barcelona squad.

The Spaniard has made over 100 appearances since joining the club from Gernastic in 2009.

RATING: 5/10

SPORT360 VERDICT

It is unlikely Sergi will be sold as Ernesto Valverde looks to keep his squad together following Neymar’s move to PSG.

Although the Spaniard may be pushed further down the pecking order with the arrival of Paulinho, Sergi’s ability to play in so many different positions should make the club reluctant to sell him.

If he does leave, Chelsea seem the likelier destination compared to Manchester City, given that City seem to be stocked in midfield, a position where the defending Premier League champions are light.

PIETRO PELLEGRI

Chelsea are Manchester United are both monitoring 16-year-old Genoa wonderkid Pietro Pellegri, claims the Sun.

Pellegri became the youngest goal-scorer in Serie A history last season, and has already bagged a brace against Lazio this campaign.

Sources close to Genoa say that the Serie A side will accept no less than £40 million for the teenage striker.

RATING: 3/10

SPORT360 VERDICT

Pellegri is clearly one of the most talented youngsters in the Serie A.

Although a move to the Premier League or La Liga will happen at some point in the future should he continue to improve, it would suit the 16-year-old better to stay at Genoa for another season or two to further his development.
