Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier was linked with Manchester United over the summer and those reports aren’t going to go away in a hurry after his latest comments.

Jose Mourinho is known to be in the hunt for a replacement for Antonio Valencia at right-back and Meunier has consistently been rumoured to be one of his targets.

At a FIFA 18 launch, Meunier revealed that when he’s not playing the game with PSG, he chooses United.

“Well with Paris to keep myself in check, but otherwise for Manchester. United. The real one [not Manchester City] because I’ve always been a fan of Manchester.”

The full-back went on to express his views on the United this season, even calling them ‘the perfect club’.

“They’ve really built a good team this year, especially Matic, who I would have really like to see join PSG as he’s truly exceptional, and regarding the rest, they’ve got a very good manager, a very good group, a very good fanbase. They’re the perfect club. They’re really good.”

Meunier has impressed with Belgium of late, scoring a hat-trick and assisting three goals in a 9-0 rout of Gibraltar, playing provider for United striker Romelu Lukaku as well.
