Barcelona ready to chase Jean Michael Seri signing in January transfer window

Nice’s star man Jean Michael Seri could yet become a Barcelona player before next summer as it has emerged Blaugrana will try and land the midfielder in January.

The 26-year-old’s proposed Nou Camp switch fell through before August’s transfer deadline as Barca pulled the plug on the deal and moved for Ousmane Dembele instead.

While Seri was naturally disappointed his move to the Spanish giants failed to materialize at the time, the Ivorian has got back to work with his club.

According to Marca, the Catalan giants still want to land the central midfield man during the January transfer window – and it is believed a fee in the region of €40m will be enough to secure his services.

While Seri is contracted to the Ligue 1 club until June 2019 – the Eaglets are resigned to losing their star man.

It is unclear whether Barca will also renew their efforts to sign Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho in a few months’ time, but what is almost certain is that Turkish winger Arda Turan will leave the club during January.
