Philippe Coutinho was put through his paces during Brazil training on Wednesday as his future continues to hang in the balance.

The 25-year-old trained as normal with teammates Roberto Firmino and Neymar as they prepare for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Colombia.

Barcelona continue in their pursuit of the star attacker but have had three bids rejected by Liverpool – the most recent worth £114 million.

But with just a matter of hours left in the transfer window, a more enhanced figure will be needed if a deal is to get over the line.

Liverpool themselves are targeting Monaco ace Thomas Lemar in a deal worth £74 million.
