Liverpool officials are flying to Monaco in a bid to wrap up the signing of Thomas Lemar, according to reports in Europe.

The Reds are confident of sealing a £74 million deal for the Frenchman before the transfer deadline on Thursday. Reports claim that striker Divock Origi could be part of the deal as well.

Monaco have already braced themselves for the 21-year-old’s departure by signing Keita Balde from Lazio on Tuesday night.

The signing would smash Liverpool’s club record fee, one that was set at £55 million by the Naby Keita signing this week.

Lemar was heavily linked with Arsenal all summer but Liverpool look set to swoop in and land the promising French attacker.
