Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have signed Andriy Yarmolenko for €25m from Dynamo Kiev as a replacement for Ousmane Dembele.

After 20-year old Dembele departed for Barcelona this week itself, Dortmund needed a move to strengthen their attack and Ukraine international Yarmolenko seems to be his perfect successor.

Yarmolenko has scored 99 goals in 228 appearances for his previous club, Dynamo Kiev since 2008.

The 27-year old has signed a contract that runs till 30 June 2021 and will don jersey No.9.

“I am very grateful that Dynamo Kiev has fulfilled my dream of being able to switch to a big European club! I will work hard in every training to help BVB achieve its highest goals – that’s what I always do,” said Yarmolenko.
