Chelsea consider shock move for Leicester star Jamie Vardy

Chelsea are considering a shock move for Leicester star Jamie Vardy to solve their striker crisis, according to the Daily Mirror.

With Diego Costa still in exile and doubts over Michy Batshuayi’s future at the London club, Alvaro Morata is the only frontline striker the champions have at their disposal.

Chelsea are already weighing up a move for Vardy’s teammate Danny Drinkwater in a bid to shore up their midfield, and now it seems that move could turn into a double swoop for two players who were instrumental to Leicester’s miraculous title run two seasons ago.

Vardy was close to leaving Leicester last summer, when it seemed he was on the verge of a move to Arsenal, but the Foxes refused to let their star striker go.

It’s not known whether there’s a price at which Leicester would consider selling Vardy this summer.
