Gylfi Sigurdsson has completed his £45 million move from Swansea to Everton – a deal that adds to what has been a very busy summer for the Toffees in terms of recruitment.
Here’s a look at the significant signings manager Ronald Koeman has already brought in to reshape his squad since the end of last season.

Pickford joined from Sunderland in June for for an initial £25 million which could rise to £30 million with add-ons, a record fee for a British goalkeeper.
Koeman will hope the 23-year-old solves the problem of inconsistent goalkeeping which dogged the Toffees last term.

Koeman needed to freshen up an ageing defence and 24-year-old England centre-back Keane, signed from Burnley for a fee which could also rise to £30 million, was identified as the long-term leader at the back, with Ashley Williams and club captain Phil Jagielka turning 33 and 35 respectively in August.

Another boost for Everton in terms of defensive options. Martina had been signed by Koeman for Southampton in 2015 and the Curacao right-back reunited with his old boss this summer following the expiry of his contract with the Saints.

The Holland midfielder, previously Ajax captain, was brought in for £23.5million to provide more creativity and goals from midfield, being touted as a replacement for Ross Barkley, whose future at Everton remains in doubt.

The former Barcelona striker was signed from Malaga after Everton triggered his release clause in July.
Fourteen goals in LaLiga last season indicates he should add more firepower to a side who were heavily reliant on the now-departed Romelu Lukaku.

Rooney made an emotional return to his boyhood club in July, rejoining from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee 13 years after going the other way.
There will be great interest in how the 31-year-old, United and England’s record goalscorer, fares back at his old side – and scoring the winner on Saturday in his first Premier League match since the move certainly made for a good start.
