PHILIPPE COUTINHO

Barcelona are ready to up their bid for the Liverpool playmaker to €120million, according to the Daily Mail

The club have reportedly had two previous bids turned down as the Reds insist Coutinho is not for sale.

Nevertheless, Barcelona seem determined to land the Brazilian, whom they have earmarked as the ideal replacement for Neymar, whose move to PSG is set to be finalised this week.

RATING: 4/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: With Neymar on the way out, Barcelona are definitely in need of a replacement, and they have doggedly pursued Coutinho. However, Liverpool have repeatedly said they will resist all offers for their playmaker.

Barcelona may continue to test that resistance with larger bids, but it still seems like it would take a crazy offer to convince Liverpool.

ALEXIS SANCHEZ

The Daily Mail are reporting that Arsenal players are convinced that Alexis Sanchez wants to leave the club this summer.

Sanchez returned to training on Tuesday, and teammates have been left with the impression that he wants out of the Emirates Stadium before the start of the new season.

Manchester City and PSG are the known suitors so far, however, manager Arsene Wenger has told Sanchez that the club would not sanction a sale.

RATING: 5/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: For Arsenal, the idea of selling Sanchez has boiled down to a simple calculation. They could cash in on him and risk missing out on a Champions League spot, or they could keep him and maximise their chances of finishing in the top four – even if that means losing him for free next summer.

The club have opted for the second option, which means it’s unlikely that the Chilean international is leaving within the next month. However, if PSG come calling with a significant bid, will their stance change?

LEANDER DENDONCKER

The Anderlecht midfielder is attracting the attention of Manchester United, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Dendoncker impressed United manager Jose Mourinho when the two sides faced off in the Europa League last season, and the 22-year-old is said to be available for a fee of between £22million and £31million.

However, the Red Devils may have to wait until next summer before stepping up their interest.

RATING: 4/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: Dendoncker has previously been listed as a United target, but after their purchase of Nemanja Matic they do not urgently need another midfielder.

What may force their hand is the possibility of his transfer fee rising if he has another strong season with the Belgian club, although it’s more than likely that they’ll be willing to pay if he’s a genuine target.
