Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reiterated his stance on Alexis Sanchez by saying he will stay at the club this season.

Addressing the media after Arsenal’s Emirates Cup triumph, despite a 2-1 loss to Sevilla, Wenger said: “Look, what I can do about that? One day he will go and Arsenal will go on. We will all go one day and Arsenal hopefully will go on.

“The fans are worried Sanchez is going to go.”

When questioned if Sanchez is going to stay at the Emirates, Wenger said: “Yeah of course. How many times did I tell you that?”

Sanchez has been the subject of interest from Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

The Chile international will be meeting Wenger on Wednesday to discuss his future at the club, although the duo have been in touch through texting.
