Ronaldinho set for New York deal

Ronaldinho has been linked with a host of clubs but he looks set to follow in Thierry Henry's footsteps and join New York Red Bulls.

There was speculation that the Brazilian trickster could by playing in the Arabian Gulf League next year for one of the top sides or for QPR after being released by Atletico Minerio.

However, according to Spanish newspaper Marca, the MLS side are now leading the race to sign the Brazilian after meeting with his representatives.

The former Ballon d'Or winner will form a deadly partnership with former Barcelona team mate Henry if the move materialises. 

Ronaldinho will confirm his new club at the beginning of next week.
