Profiling Chelsea-bound Alvaro Morata as Real Madrid agrees fee for the striker

Chelsea have agreed terms with Real Madrid for the transfer Alvaro Morata as they look to replace wantaway striker Diego Costa.

“Chelsea Football Club and Real Madrid have agreed terms for the transfer of Alvaro Morata to Stamford Bridge,” Chelsea said on their club website.

“The move is now subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

Morata although not first-choice at Madrid, is one of the most sought after strikers in Europe having built a reputation for himself on the back of impressive displays for the La Liga and Champions League winners.

His successful stint at Juventus also adds to his appeal.

Antonio Conte is known to be a fan of the striker who will be afforded regular first team football under the Italian ahead of the World Cup next summer.
