Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who was one of the outstanding performers at the World Cup in Brazil, has completed a move to Malaga.

The 29-year-old has agreed a three-year deal at La Rosaleda after his contract with French side AC Ajaccio, who were relegated from Ligue 1 last season, expired.

Ochoa will replace Willy Caballero as Malaga’s first-choice goalkeeper after the Argentine left Andalucia for Manchester City.

He said: “My focus is to dedicate myself to training, work hard and give 100 per cent.

“I’m very detailed in my work and always try to get the most out of myself for the good of the team and achieve the best results possible in matches.”

Ochoa had spent three seasons with Ajaccio before being chosen as Mexico’s first-choice ‘keeper at the World Cup.
