Manchester City’s £53m signing Kyle Walker’s career in numbers – From Sheffield United to Tottenham

Kyle Walker, on Friday became the world’s most expensive defender when Manchester City signed him from Tottenham for a £53 million five-year contract deal.

Walker a right-back has now also become the most costliest English player of all-time.

The 27-year-old is excited about the chance to work with City boss Pep Guardiola and said, “It feels a bit surreal”, said just after his transfer was completed.

Meanwhile, Walker, 27, spent his youth career playing for Sheffield United. He moved up the ladder of success while playing for Northampton Town, Queens Park Rangers, Aston Villa and then Spurs eventually.
