The season is fast approaching and the transfer market is hotting up as teams begin to finalise plans and tours to far-flung destinations get underway.

Thursday’s transfer round-up sees two completed deals in the Premier League and a big-money addition arrive in Seville.

What else is still to come?

Alvaro Negredo, Valencia to Middlesbrough, loan (Done Deal)

The Beast is back and it’s another coup for Boro after signing Victor Valdes and Viktor Fischer.

Aitor Karanka will be hoping Negredo can recapture the form that saw him score 23 goals in 48 games as Manchester City won the 2013/14 Premier League title.

Ragnar Klavan, Augsburg to Liverpool, £4.2 million (Done Deal)

The Estonia captain is the Reds’ fifth summer signing and arrives after long-serving Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel departed for Fenerbahce.

Klavan, 30, has 112 caps for his country and said he has realised a 22-year-old dream by signing at Anfield.

Franco Vazquez, Palermo to Sevilla, €15 million (Done Deal)

Courted by AC Milan and Spurs but it is three-time defending Europa League winners Sevilla who have bagged the highly-rated 27-year-old playmaker.

The Argentine-born Italy international will reportedly sign a five-year deal.

Kalidou Koulibaly, Napoli to Everton, €55 million (Reports)

Already the subject of a monstrous bid from Everton, according to SportItalia. The Lazio rock, 25, has become one of Serie A’s best defenders since a 2014 move from Genk.

The Toffees have money these days and will be wary of losing John Stones.

Mario Gomez, Besiktas to Atletico Madrid, €7 million (Reports)

The Germany international on Wednesday revealed he would not return to Besiktas due to the unrest in Turkey.

Gomez scored 26 goals in 33 Super Lig appearances on loan last season and the 31-year-old has expressed an interest in going to La Liga.
