Serie A new boys Frosinone are hoping to clinch a last-ditch deal for Arsenal forward Joel Campbell, according to The Sun.

The 26-year-old, who featured at the World Cup with Costa Rica, has been deemed surplus to requirements by Gunners boss Unai Emery and is allowed to leave the club.

However, given the transfer window in Italy slams shut on August 17, Frosinone have little time left to tie-up a deal.

Initially, it is thought Campbell will depart the club on loan with a view to a permanent move out of the Emirates at the end of the season.
