Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas has provided his seal of approval to Porto team-mate Eder Militao, who recently signed for Los Blancos for a fee of €50million.

The Brazilian will join Madrid in the summer and Casillas has tipped him to have a successful time at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“It’s fantastic management by Real Madrid,” Casillas told reporters at a ‘La Liga Icons’ event, according to Goal.

“They’ve taken a very good player with a huge future. I’m convinced he’ll succeed at Real Madrid.”

While the custodian was vocal about Militao’s talent, he also made it a point to warn the youngster that expectations will be very high in Spain and he must be ready to tackle it.

“Porto gambled on him when he was very young and he showed a big personality,” Casillas added.

“He’s very noble and wants to do things the right way, I’m just a little afraid for his adaptation because in Spain it’s different. I always tell him that when he arrives in Madrid, he’ll realise what it means.”

Meanwhile, the youngster seems excited about his impending move, telling Marca radio: “I’m very happy.”
