Following a 2-0 defeat at home to Real Sociedad, Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari expressed his opinion on how VAR should be more lucid.

This is the first La Liga season that the technology has been implemented and it has garnered mixed reactions.

Solari was definitely not a happy man and believes that the rules around VAR need to be clearer.

“The feeling is that we should have picked up three points and we didn’t. We have to put away the chances that we created. We’ll compete as we look to win the next game,” said Solari.

“We are not complaining about VAR but we have a right to defend ourselves,” the Spaniard told reporters, as cited by SPORT.

“It is not the technology that is the problem but the rules surrounding it and we believe that needs to be clearer.

“Sometimes as a spectator I do not understand how it works so there is work to do on that front, but that will come in time.”
