Former Real Madrid player Jeseis going through a rough phase in his career. After returning to his parent club Paris Saint- Germain from his loan spell at Stoke City, the forward missed the first two months due to appendicitis and has found it hard to break into the starting line-up ever since.

It is not just the lack of playing time that has bothered the forward. In an interview with SPORT, he revealed that he feels ostracised from his team-mates at his former club.

He said: “You realise a lot of things there. But that’s not a criticism, honestly, because everything does what they want.

“I thought I had friends in the Real Madrid dressing room but they’ve stopped being [my friends] because they haven’t worried about me or replied to my messages.”

“In Madrid, you live surrounded by people, but I felt alone.”
