6:00 pm: Carvajal explains Isco’s armband snub
Isco– who is Madrid’s third captain – was supposed to don the captain’s armband when Marcelo was taken off against Moscow. But the Spaniard handed the armband to fourth captain Dani Carvajal, which gave rise to quite a few questions.
However, Carvajal explained the snub and mentioned that Isco was merely honouring a promise.

3:00 pm: Bale’s injury will be evaluated, says Solari
Gareth Bale picked up an ankle injury during his cameo in Real Madrid‘s 3-0 defeat to CSKA Moscow. With the Club World Cup round the corner, this comes as a huge cause for concern for Los Blancos.
Prior to their clash against Rayo Vallecano, head coach Santiago Solari issued a statement about the injury.

12:00 pm: Fans right to express displeasure, says Marcelo
Real Madrid were humiliated at home by CSKA Moscow on Wednesday in a Champions fixture that ended 3-0 in favour of the visitors.
Isco’s sub-par performance was met with jeers and whistles at the Bernabeu. Marcelo feels that the fans are within their rights to express their unhappiness.

11:30 am: Vinicius’s loan move to Real Valladolid ‘difficult’, says Ronaldo
One of Florentino Perez’s first Galactico signings and now Real Valladolid owner Ronaldo has always expressed his admiration for Brazilian wonder-kid Vinicius Junior.
The World Cup winner mentioned that he has spoken to Perez about a loan move involving Vinicius, but the chances of this move materialising is bleak.
