The Croatian broke the Lionel Messi-Cristiano Ronaldo duopoly at the Ballon d’Or awards ceremony after he bagged the prestigious award on Monday.

Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari is of the opinion that the midfielder is worthy of the award. For context, there is serious debate in the footballing world whether Modric actually deserved to be the winner and Solari dropped his two cents.
