Goals at the beginning and the end of the game were enough to give Real Madrid a fully deserved victory over a lacklustre Valencia at the Bernabeu on Saturday night.

There were plenty of positives for manager Santi Solari to enjoy, with several individuals delivering impressive performances and the overall team structure also looking more solid than generally has been the case this season.

Real Madrid gained one of their most comfortable victories of the season against a highly disappointing Valencia at the Bernabeu on Saturday night, and one player in particular caught the eye after contributing to both goals.

Dani Ceballos was excellent alongside Marcos Llorente in a two-man Real defensive midfield.

Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari was pleased to see the club’s young players coming to the fore in the 2-0 La Liga victory over Valencia.

After last weekend’s 3-0 loss to Eibar, the most important thing for Real was getting back to winning ways, which they managed even if it was not the most fluent performance.
