After a quiet summer transfer window, Real Madrid are already preparing for a busy winter as they look to bolster their squad with the signing of River Plate’s Exequiel Palacios, according to Marca.

Madrid believe that the 20-year-old, who hasn’t even played 50 matches in Argentinian top flight, is mature enough and ready for the move to the Spanish capital..

The move will cost Los Blancos a little over 20 million and they believe that Palacios, who has been key to River’s run in the Copa Libertadores, can add quality to their creativity in midfield.

Should the Tucuman native lead his team to glory at the Libertadores, he might be facing his future employers at the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi next month.
