Real Madrid expect young left-back Sergio Reguilon to return from a hamstring injury in time for next month’s Club World Cup in the UAE, according to reports.

Reguilon, 21, has filled in well for the injured Marcelo during the past month. He pulled up during Sunday’s 4-2 win at Celta Vigo, however, and has joined a lengthy list of players on the treatment table.

Marca have stated that the Castilla graduate will be sidelined for one month. This means he will be back in time for Los Blancos’ tilt at a third-successive global club title.

Brazil anchorman Casemiro should return at the same time, while utility defender Nacho is out for two months.

Raphael Varane, Dani Carvajal, Marcelo and Mariano are all expected to be available to coach Santiago Solari once again after the international break.
