Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has praised his side’s re-found ‘confidence and momentum’ following Sunday’s 4-2 victory at Celta Vigo.

Los Blancos have now won four games in a row under interim coach Santiago Solari – and have scored 15 goals in the process as they look to have turned a corner.

“In previous matches, things didn’t work out,” he said after the game.

“We also have fortune with us, like with the ball hitting the woodwork at 0-0.

“Our quality hasn’t changed, the team hasn’t, but winning brings confidence.”

The Belgian shares his goalkeeping duties with Keylor Navas but dismissed talks of any rift between the two and mentioned that the competition between the shot-stoppers is healthy.

“Every day we train very well, to make it difficult for the coach to choose,” he continued.

“Madrid have a lot of quality in each position, there is a lot of competition.

“People always believe that because you play and the other doesn’t, we’re hitting each other!
