Real Madrid’s current travails on the pitch have not hampered negotiations about a new kit deal with adidas that should guarantee a record-breaking figure of €1.1 billion during the next decade, according to reports.

The relationship between the two parties goes back continuously to 1998. For this to be extended from 2020-30, Los Blancos have demanded a figure that eclipses both Manchester United and Barcelona.

Marca have stated that a contract is ready to be signed on an extension that could even grow to €150 million per year, including variables.

For comparison, United take home €85m from Adidas and Barcelona receive €83m from Nike.
