Vinicius Junior has had to be patient for game time since joining Real Madrid during the summer, but the highly-rated Brazilian produced a stunning performance during the 4-0 win over Melilla in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.

The 18-year-old was at the centre of the action at Estadio Municipal Álvarez Claro as he provided assists for Marco Asensio and Alvaro Odriozola.

Before Wednesday’s win, the former Flamengo star had only featured twice for the first team: two minutes against Atletico Madrid on September 29 and 10 minutes against Alaves on October 6.

But with former Real Madrid B coach Santiago Solari at the helm, it could pave the way for more game time for Vinicius Junior.
