Toni Kroos admits Real Madrid must be defensively better after failing to impress in a 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Champions League.

Los Blancos have struggled to score goals of late and despite bagging two on Tuesday night, wasted a lot of chances.

However, having conceded as well, Kroos has cited their defensive problems as the main concern.
