Real Madrid are ready to swoop for Sterling after his impressive England display in Seville, the Mail reports.

The Manchester City forward bagged a brace in the 3-2 Nations League victory over Spain on Monday, putting Madrid on alert.

Sterling has 18 months remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, with negotiations said to be continuing with the Premier League club.

9:30 – Vinicius Junior returns to Madrid after international break

Real Madrid will welcome back Vinicius Junior from international duty later this week following the Brazilian’s impressive performances with his nation’s Under-20s.

The 18-year-old is keen for more first team action after featuring in just two matches this season: two minutes against Atletico Madrid on September 29 and 10 minutes against Alaves last week.
