Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema is set to miss Los Blancos’ must-win home clash against Levante after the international break (October 20th).

The 30-year-old, who has failed to score in each of his past seven matches after a strong start to the campaign, was substituted at half-time during the 1-0 defeat at Alaves last weekend.

Benzema is suffering with a calf problem and although tests have revealed the injury is not serious, Julen Lopetegui will run the rule over Frenchman’s fitness with Mariano waiting in the wings.
