Real Madrid are sweating over the fitness of Gareth Bale, who sustained an adductor injury during the goalless La Liga draw with Atletico Madrid.

The Welsh wizard was substituted at half-time, with Dani Ceballos his replacement, raising concerns over the severity of the problem.

The Los Blancos medical team are set to further run the rule over the 29-year-old this weekend but the attacker is set to be a major doubt for Tuesday night’s Champions League clash against CSKA Moscow.

Real then travel to Alaves next Saturday ahead of the two-week international break, in which Bale could also miss playing for his country.

Bale is the latest injury boss Julen Lopetegui has to contend with, given Marcelo and Isco are also sidelined.
