Will Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui name Vinicius Junior on bench for Sevilla match?

Vinicius Junior is in the reckoning to make his Real Madrid debut away to Sevilla on Wednesday night in La Liga.

The Brazilian wonderkid has yet to make a competitive first-team appearance for Julen Lopetegui’s men this term, despite impressing for the club’s Castilla side.

He did though feature in last weekend’s matchday squad for the home win against Espanyol and has travelled to Seville as part of Los Blancos’ 22-man selection.

However, there is still no guarantee the teenager will make the substitutes’ bench given three players from the squad will have to take a seat in the stands – like the former Flamengo star did at the Bernabeu last time out.

Meanwhile, former Whites defender Michael Salgado believes the 18-year-old €45 million summer recruit should seek a loan move in January to gain valuable minutes and experience.
