New Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed his delight at being named FIFA’s The Best goalkeeper of the 2017-18 season.

The Belgian scooped the award, beating the likes of David De Gea to top prize, largely because of his displays at the World Cup which also secured him the coveted Golden Glove.

Courtois completed his protracted €35m switch to the Bernabeu from Chelsea last month.
