Raphael Varane believes Real Madrid can win fourth consecutive Champions League

Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane insists Los Blancos can win a fourth straight Champions League title this season.

The 25-year-old France international centre-back, who won the World Cup with his country last summer having before that helped the Whites to a third consecutive European Cup, is on the prowl for more silverware.

And, after being named in FIFA’s World XI at The Best Awards in London on Monday night, Varane is optimistic more success is on the way after Real’s strong start to the season under new boss Julen Lopetegui.

“This has been an amazing season and now we must continue to do the same,” he told Marca.

“Of course we can win our fourth straight (Champions League title), nobody believed we could win the third and here it is.

“This is recognition for the work achieved with both Real Madrid and France.”
