Florentino Perez has told Real Madrid members that Cristiano Ronaldo‘s home will always be at the Bernabeu and the Portuguese star is comparable to all-time great Alfredo Di Stefano.

Ronaldo brought his distinguished Los Blancos career to an end last July, sealing a mega move to Juventus and following Zinedine Zidane out of the exit door following a third successive Champions League success.

Given both departures came somewhat as a surprise, neither coach or player received an official send-off but Perez has reiterated Zidane and Ronaldo’s important to the Whites.

“(Cristiano) is one of the key figures as he is the top scorer in the history of the club and worthy successor to Di Stefano,” Perez told members on Sunday.

“He is stand-out figure and his legend will be told from generation to generation. An example for everyone who wears this shirt. Thank you Cristiano.

“(Zidane) is another of our all-time references. As coach he has entered history as one of the greatest at Real Madrid. He is one of our biggest legends and he along with Cristiano know that this will always be his home.”
