Real Madrid frontman Mariano Diaz has spoken of his pride at scoring on his second debut for the club against Roma in Wednesday night’s Champions League opener.

The 25-year-old Dominican Republic star returned to the Spanish capital last month from Lyon, and has wasted next to no time settling back in.

He was on the scoresheet late on, netting a superb effort to finish off a convincing display by Los Blancos under the Bernabeu lights.
