Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic has revealed why he voted for Luka Modric as UEFA Player of the Year instead of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Modric, 32, pipped his former Real Madrid team-mate to the prestigious prize ahead of August 30’s Champions League draw.
