6:38pm – Odegaard gets another loan move

Martin Odegaard is heading back to the Netherlands after agreeing a loan deal with Vitesse Arnhem. This will be his second straight season in the Dutch league, after spending the last campaign at Heerenveen.

5:55pm – Man United rule out Zidane

Former Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is under increasing scrutiny at Manchester United after the team’s 3-2 loss to Brighton this weekend, but it seems another former Los Blancos manager won’t be turning up at Old Trafford anytime soon.

The United board have given Mourinho their backing and have ruled out replacing him with Zinedine Zidane.

12:30pm – Lopetegui won’t rush Vinicius Junior into first team

Young Brazilian Vinicius Junior impressed during preseason for Madrid, but didn’t feature in the European Super Cup or Sunday’s La Liga opener, with Julen Lopetegui looking to gradually ease the young star into the first team.
