Real Madrid need one last push to complete a big-money deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, Marca reports.

Los Blancos’ pursuit of Belgian’s World Cup star has been held up in recent days after the Blues prioritised finding a replacement for Courtois, before allowing him to leave for the Bernabeu.

However, according to sources, the proposed £31 million (Dh149m) transfer is closer then many people think with Florentino Perez in talks with high level Stamford Bridge officials.

The player in question is desperate to return to the Spanish capital, where he previously plied his trade with Atletico Madrid.

Courtois’s family are still based in Madrid and he has long been touted as Keylor Navas’ successor between the sticks.
