Gareth Bale‘s long-term Real Madrid future may be far from certain but the Los Blancos winger has not let speculation detract from his pre-season preparations with the Whites.

The 29-year-old Welshman, who scored a brace during May’s Champions League final triumph over Liverpool in Kiev, has been ramping up his fitness regime at the club’s Valdebebas training base under the watchful eye of new boss Julen Lopetegui.

Bale has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu but seems to have found a new lease of life in the Spanish capital following Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo‘s respective departures.

It was well-documented that the former Tottenham star did not see eye-to-eye with Zidane while, despite winning four European Cups during his time with Real, Bale was always in the shadow of main man Ronaldo.

That, though, appears to have changed with the winger looking a firm part of the club’s plans for next season.
