Liverpool and Arsenal are in the hunt to sign Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez, Marca reports.

The versatile Spain international, who is currently part of La Roja’s World Cup campaign in Russia, was the most used player by former Whites boss Zinedine Zidane last term, making 53 appearances in all competitions. However, his future appears uncertain.

The vast bulk of the 27-year-old’s outings were from the substitutes’ bench and he was left out of the Champions League final win over Liverpool, despite having helped the Whites get there while deputising for the injured Dani Carvajal in a makeshift right full-back role.

It remains to be seen how he fits into Julen Lopetegui’s Bernabeu plans next season, though the Los Blancos youth graduate is on a long-term deal until 2021 and the Spanish giants have not let it be known they wish to sell him.

Jurgen Klopp’s men and the Gunners are set to monitor his situation closely while AC Milan have also shown interest in the midfielder.
