Real Madrid’s Borja Mayoral says he will wait until the club appoint a new head coach before deciding whether to leave for Real Betis.

The 21-year-old found his first-team chances limited at the Bernabeu with 24 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals.

There has been strong speculation that he could leave the European champions for Real Betis but with Zinedine Zidane’s shock exit, he will consider his options.

“I knew you would ask me about Betis,” said Mayoral on an Instagram question and answer session.

“They are a good team with a good coach, but I have a contract with Madrid and we’ll see what happens with the new coach.”
